This page provides samples of my work, mainly completed through certifications and academic projects. 

NOTE: Unfortunately, I am not able to post most of my work completed through my previous employers, due to confidentiality. However, the work I have posted below definitely pertains to real-life situations and the job environment. 
 

User Guides

Program User Guide, TextAnalysisTool.NET Version 1.0

TextAnalysisTool.NET is a program used mainly by coders and helps search and filter through large amounts of text in a text file. Although this software is easy to install on a PC, the instructions on how to navigate and open files were not available. 


The user guide for TextAnalysisTool.NET provides instructions on how to: 1) download the software to a user's computer, 2) open an existing text file on the software, 3) add filters, 4) edit filters, and 5) remove filters. TextAnalysisTool.NET is a free program intended for users who need to analyze large amounts of data in a text-based document only. This project was also done with the help of a subject matter expert.

This is a (partial) reference guide to reselling that I have created and is still in the works. Instructional Manual #1

Web-Based Training (WBT) Manual

The purpose of this instructional manual was to provide knowledge and application for Patient Account Representatives of a hospital to successfully navigate and  document both patient and insurance accounts while utilizing the system. This instructional manual addressed the following areas in navigation and documentation: 

  • Log-In procedures

  • Workstation tabs

  • Activities screen 

  • Insurance management functions

  • Account revisions

  • Billing functions

  • Exit procedures

  • Documentation procedures

Instructional Manual #2

How-to Document Adobe FrameMaker

This how-to document was completed to obtain my technical writing certificate. The purpose was to provide step-by-step instructions on creating autonumbering for sections in FrameMaker. Some of these steps included: 

  • Opening Adobe FrameMaker

  • Creating a new document 

  • Creating a new style in the Paragraph Catalog

This proposal was completed as a writing project to obtain my technical writing certification and responds to an announcement on a company's website to develop a training support package for an Army Field Artillery Basic Office Leader Course (FA BOLC).

Data Reports

Materials Management Report 

The focus of this 14-page data report was to provide an assessment of trends in materials management for the following data: materials generated, recycling, composting, energy recovery, and landfilling. This report also includes a lot of figures and tables supporting this data.

General Water Quality in Oklahoma 

This guidance document was completed as a writing project to obtain my technical writing certification. This purpose of this document was to research and interpret our own state's rules and regulations related to water quality. Some aspects of this guidance document included:

Instructional System Design Project (ISD) Documents #1

ISD Project #1: Automotive Services Tech Engine Oil Changes

This ISD project was completed with the help of a subject matter expert (SME) in auto mechanics. The focus of this project was to demonstrate the ISD model commonly known as Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). The following areas needed to be addressed and analyzed in order for students to successfully perform engine oil changes on the job:
